Learning is always more fun when play is involved, and this is made clear in Georgiana R. Frayer-Luna's book of Hawaiian-language crossword puzzles and word games.

Puzzles are accompanied by a dictionary of Hawaiian words related to themes such as birds (manu) or taro (kalo).

Clues are given in English for deciphering the meanings of your new vocabulary. If it sticks in your memory, you're on your way to learning Hawaiian.
