Waimanalo memories

Old photos of Waimanalo are being sought for an exhibition at Waimanalo Public Library during October.

The show is being sponsored by The Waimanalo Health Center's Environmental Health Division Water Quality Project and the Waimanalo Ahupua'a Watershed Council.

The intent of the exhibition is to spark conversation on the way things were and call attention to water quality and issues confronting the community. The exhibit will coincide with talks by historians and conservationists.

Photos may be taken to artist Patrick Ching's Naturally Hawaiian Gallery & Gifts at 41-1025 Kalanianaole Highway (near McDonald's). Photos will be scanned on the spot and returned to their owners, who will receive a digital file of their photos in thanks.

For more information, call Ching at 259-5350.
