State Senate posts full
budget details on
the Internet

If numbers are your thing, the state Senate is offering up billions of them, with a detailed breakdown of the budget available on the Internet at http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/sessioncurrent/worksheets/senate.asp.

The documents include the budget for the state executive offices, the judiciary and the Office of Hawaii Affairs.

Most items include the original funding request, a description of the request or program and the resulting action by the Legislature.

The online version of the state budget was pioneered last year by Sens. Carol Fukunaga and Andy Levin, Ways and Means Committee co-chairs.
