Matt Wheeler signed with the Evansville (Ind.) Otters of the independent Frontier League Wednesday. The right-hander, who played third base and pitched for UH, played for Evansville last season.

Eric Bentley, a right-handed pitcher from Hawaii Pacific, signed with the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints of the independent Frontier League, Tuesday.
