It's the ultimate game of seek and destroy. Even though it's just pretend, the month-long RimPac exercise lets participants hone strategies and tactics they will need in real-world situations -- when lives are at stake.

Some of the latest military weaponry will be used during the exercise. This year's Pacific maritime war games will include a variety of ships, submarines, aircraft, amphibious forces and an aircraft carrier battle group.
