The Pan-Pacific Festival-Matsuri in Hawaii will be hosting one of Hawaii's largest cultural events filled with festivities in June.

Pan-Pacific Hoolaulea
Friday, June 9 from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Block party on Kalakaua Avenue between Lewers Street and Kaiulani Street.
Hoku-award winning group, Kapena will perform from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Performances will also be provided by Japanese entertainers. Ethnic food booths will be available.

Ballroom Dance
Friday, June 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse.
Tickets $4.

Saturday, June 10 from 7 to 10 p.m. Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse.
Free admission.

Japanese outdoor performances (Omatsuri Hiroba) at Ala Moana Center Stage
Saturday, June 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:50 p.m.
Sunday, June 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Talented amateur performers will present traditional and modern Japanese entertainment.

Performing Arts Festival
Saturday, June 10 from 1:30 to 4:30 and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Japanese showcase at McKinley High School auditorium.
The audience will be entertained with minyo and minbu performances and taiko drumming.
Tickets: $10 per show. For tickets, please call 942-3112 or go to the Kintetsu International Hawaii Company Tour Lounge, first floor of the Ala Moana Hotel.

Ground Golf Tournament
Sunday, June 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ala Moana Park.
Free admission.
There will be two rounds of eight holes each on the grass of Ala Moana Park. Winners will be decided by total score. Awards will be given to individual and team players.

Karaoke Festival:
Sunday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ala Moana Hotel, Garden Lanai Banquet Room.
$1 Admission.

Pan-Pacific Parade:
Sunday, June 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. The parade will be on Kalakaua Avenue from Fort DeRussy to Kapiolani Park.
Taiko drummers, costumed performers, and music from various marching bands will participate in the parade.
