Won’t run out

Sand dredged from the ocean in February by the state
to renourish Waikiki Beach has been waiting in a mound
for the city to spread it. Some of the sand has already
been used to extend the beach as part of the Kuhio
Beach Park Expansion project.



Reflecting on
the joy of a cool
drink of water

"Sherlock," a bearded collie, seems to look at his reflection
but he was actually drinking water in the cool waterfall pond
at McInerny Dog Park next to the Humane Society. Sherlock
was there with his owners. David Kaminskas and Ruthie
Wells of Lanikai. Park users say the leashless park is a
great place for dogs to run around and get used to the
company of other dogs.
