Entertainers host a benefit for
Loyal Garner, who has cancer.

Golf tourney to
help entertainer

The Society of Seven and Outrigger Entertainment will host a golf tournament June 26 to raise money for entertainer Loyal Garner, who is battling cancer.

Garner, often referred to as Hawaii's "Lady of Love," inspired the tournament at the Olomana Golf Links, which SOS members Tony Ruivivar and Bert Sagum call a "labor of love" dedicated to a fellow performer who is popular within the local music industry as well as with the public.

The tournament is a full scramble, with three-person teams. Maximum handicaps are 36 for women and 30 for men.

The cost to participate is $100 per person.

Check-in time will be 10:30 a.m. The deadline for registration is June 21.

For information, call Outrigger Entertainment at 926-5609.
