Senior right-hander David Horswill allowed just four singles as Kailua beat Castle, 4-1, in a battle of unbeaten Oahu Interscholastic Association teams yesterday.

The host Surfriders (4-0) took over sole possession of first place in the Eastern Division by beating the No. 8 ranked Knights (3-1).

The Surfriders jumped on Knights' starter Paul Collins for four runs in the first inning as Jory Pearce and Kawika Kekaula drove in two runs each.

"It was 'boom,' the first four out of five batters got on. They hit the ball well," Castle coach Joe Tom Jr. said. "They were sky-high, very aggressive. They were the better team today."
