THE SEARCH FOR SIGNS OF
HAWAIIAN LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE

Tapa

Primo Memories

J. Souza of Waianae was intrigued by Primo's Italian Restaurant
in Woburn, Mass. Strictly speaking, is the word "Primo" Hawaiian?
Certainly, it doesn't remind us of anything golden-yellow, foamy
and mildly alcoholic and consumed in mass quantities in the '60s.
Or maybe Mr. Souza was shooting the foreclosure auction sign
tacked to the pole. Now THAT reminds us of Hawaii in the '90s.

The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe is just that -- we're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii. Send snapshots and a description to TSFSOHLITU, Today Department, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, P.O. Box 3080, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, or e-mail JPEGS to features@starbulletin.com
