Experience jazz
in the cathedral

There will be a night of free jazz at St. Andrew's Cathedral tomorrow when Azure McCall and Tennyson Stephens share the stage beginning 7:30 p.m.

McCall is well known on the local jazz circuit and recently released her first solo album, "Body and Soul."

Stephens has performed around the world as a pianist, arranger, conductor and vocalist with the likes of Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, the Supremes and Bill Cosby. He is the music minister and organist at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Wahiawa.

The concert is part of "The Third Friday Concert Series" giving the public an opportunity to "encounter the holy in the cathedral's gothic and acoustical splendor," said the Very Rev. Peter Courtney, dean of the cathedral.

The monthly music event features visiting and local musicians. For more information, call 524-2822.
