The trek to school was anything but normal for Susan
Weatherwax,, left, son Willy, 9, Mikiala Leslie, 8, and mom
Shelly Leslie, all of Haleiwa. They trudged across the sand
at Waimea Bay in order to get to school at Sunset Beach
Elementary because of the rockslide which
closed Kamehameha Highway.
