The NCAA has invited six University of Hawaii Wahine swimmers to participate in the women's championships at Indianapolis.

Diver J.P. Palmer also has an opportunity to join the six swimmers, depending on how she does in a regional event in Seattle.

The UH team is coming off a second-place finish at the WAC Championships and is ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Coach Sam Freas said the men's team expects an NCAA invitation for nine swimmers. The Rainbows are ranked 16th in the country. The men's NCAA Championship meet is scheduled for March 23 and 24 in Minneapolis.

UH coeds sail in California

The University of Hawaii coed sailing team will compete in the Stanford Team Race Intersectional this weekend in Redwood City, Calif.

Stanford will host the regatta.

The coed team hasn't raced since winning the Rainbow Invitational in January.
