Boeing strike stalls delivery of planes

SEATTLE -- Boeing Co. acknowledged that a strike by thousands of engineers and technical workers had delayed delivery of six commercial jets in a week, but said yesterday that deliveries would resume in a few days.

The aerospace giant, which planned to deliver 490 jets this year, has struggled to maintain production in the face of a strike by nearly 20,000 employees, 10 percent of its work force, that began Feb. 9.

Neiman Marcus names new chief

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Neiman Marcus Group Inc. has named H.W. "Hugh" Mullins chairman and CEO of Neiman Marcus Stores, the Dallas-based luxury department store chain. Mullins, who was vice chairman of Neiman Marcus Stores, is replacing Burton M. Tansky, who will remain president and chief operating officer of the parent company.

Bullet BURLINGAME, Calif. -- Gymboree Corp., citing fourth quarter losses, said Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Gary White and President Melanie Cox resigned. The Burlingame, Calif., maker and retailer of children's clothing said Chairman Stuart Moldow has assumed the CEO duties.

Bullet DENVER -- The land on which Denver's now-defunct Stapleton International Airport sits will be transformed into an area offering homes, jobs, open space and schools, in a 30-year project billed as the nation's largest redevelopment project in an urban area.
