International superstar Ricky Martin appears headed for an Aloha Stadium concert on March 26, when he will receive as much as $750,000.

Martin's fee is still being negotiated and the Stadium date is "on hold" for the performance with the contract signing expected this week, sources said.

About 30,000 tickets will be available when they go on sale within the next two weeks, but there is no hint of prices. Seating will be in a baseball configuration and there will be a massive stage and lighting, according to sources.

Martin's management apparently ignored proposals for the singer to perform two nights at the Blaisdell Arena at a lesser fee, around $450,000.

One of the promoters negotiating with Martin is Marek Lieberberg Productions of Maui and Germany.

Martin received four Grammy nominations this year, including Best Pop Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s). At 1999's Billboard Music Awards, he won Male Artist of the Year, and Male Hot 100 Singles Artist of the Year. He has sold more than 15 million records worldwide.

"Ricky Martin," his first English language album, contained the hit "Livin' La Vida Loca."

Martin, born and raised in Puerto Rico, was member of the singing group Menudo for five years. His first solo album earned him eight gold records. His third album, "A Medio Vivir," sold more than 600,000 in six months, and "Vuelve" sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.
