A six-run fourth inning gave the Mililani Trojans all they needed last night to advance to tonight's championship game of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association state softball tournament.

Mililani defeated Waiakea, 9-1, in one semifinal, while defending state champion Iolani also reached tonight's 7 p.m. title game with a 1-0 win over Baldwin at the University of Hawaii softball stadium.

Johnna Rowland scattered three hits in beating the Waiakea Warriors. She retired 13 of the final 14 batters, struck out seven and walked two.

Karyna Wilkerson drove in three runs on an RBI single and two sacrifice flies.

Mililani will play in its first championship game ever in softball.

Waiakea will face Baldwin for third place at 5:30 p.m.

Iolani 1, Baldwin 0: A bloop single to right in the third inning by Kacy Nekoba scored Jocelyn Tamayo for the only run of the game as the Raiders advanced to the championship by beating the Bears.

Aurea Astro led off the third inning with a single. Tamayo, running for Astro, moved to second when Baldwin catcher Michelle Castro mishandled the ball. Tamayo then stole third and with two outs, Nekoba blooped a single to right, scoring Tamayo.

Mitzi Ing of Iolani allowed only two hits, walking three and striking out six.

Kailua 8, Lahainaluna 4: Chanelle Piimauna blasted a three-run double to cap a six-run second inning as the Surfriders beat the Lunas in a consolation game.

Kailua will meet Kalaheo in the consolation championship at 2:30 p.m. today.

Isaac Dunklee scored 17 points last night to help the Radford Rams finish the Oahu Interscholastic Association boys' basketball regular season with a perfect 10-0 mark.

Justin Cariaga and Sa Tanuvasa each added 14 points in the Rams' 72-49 win at Waipahu.

Clint Fludd had 12 for the Marauders (2-8).

Moanalua (6-4) scored eight of its 12 overtime points from the foul line.

J. Marzen led Moanalua with 18 points, Tanibe had 13 and Bryce Campbell 12.

Lawrence Ching was the high man for Mililani (6-4) with 14.

Trailing 45-37 late in the fourth quarter, Damien's Kalani Lopez knocked down two straight 3-pointers to narrow the gap to two, but it wasn't enough.

Lopez led all scorers with 16 points.

Maryknoll (4-6) snapped a three-game slide. The Monarchs fell to 0-9.

The Rainbows (4-6) connected on seven treys in the game and scored 21 points in the final period to end Kamehameha's three-game winning streak.
