Shirley Ruth Dompier, 70, of Spokane, Wash., and Punaluu, Hawaii, died Thursday at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Alfalfa, Wash. She is survived by husband Neil; sons Dean Koontz, Doug Dompier and Terry Nelson; daughters Darralyn Hite and Lorrie; brother Jerry Lord; sister Pat Plank, 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services: 3 p.m. tomorrow at Punaluu Congregational Church. Call after 2:30 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.

Gilbert L. "Moots" Kalaola, 60, of Honolulu, a Dole Can Plant retiree, died Jan. 20 at Straub Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by brothers Daniel, Albert Cruz, Valmores and Virgil, and sisters Wilhelmina Moniz, LaVerne Niebeling and Carrie Sato. Services: 7 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nuuanu Memorial Park Mortuary. Call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Burial: Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Michi Hayashi Kato, 78, of Honolulu, a retired silk screen printer for Island Hand Blockers, died Thursday at Queen's Hospital. She was born in Salinas, Calif. She is survived by sons Gary and Bert; brother Shuki Hayashi, and sisters Osame Doi, Yuki Fujimoto and Masa Aoki. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Call after 9 a.m. Committal service: 1 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Casual attire. No flowers.

Mitsuyoshi Matsuda,81, of Honolulu, a retired film projectionist, died Jan. 21 at the Beverly Manor Care Facility. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by son Steven S.; daughter Joyce H.; brother Harry H.; sister Tokiye Blackman, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were private.

Henry Yoshihiro Nishimura, 56, of Kaneohe, a city tax collection specialist, died last Monday at St. Francis Hospice Nuuanu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Kathleen; son Ryan; brother Bert; sisters Norma Sukita, Ellen Tao and Mary Ann Fujishige, and a grandson. Services: 6 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. An Quan, 73, of Honolulu, died Wednesday at Queen's Hospital. He was born in Vietnam. He is survived by wife Hing Yip; sons Vinh Chi Quan, Brian and Henry; daughter Sophia; brother Tan, and a grandchild. Call f8:30 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Borthwick Mortuary. Burial: 12:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples.

Nicolas Longboy Salvador, 69, of Honolulu, died Jan. 17 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Clarita; sons Norbert, Rizal and Tomas; daughter Marites Pascua; brothers, sisters and a grandchild. Victoria Kane Voyles, 94, of Honolulu, died Thursday in Honolulu. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughter Beverly Toriki; son Walter Apiki; sister Ellen Bodine;, 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
