The Punahou Carnival Art Gallery opens tomorrow for Public Collector's Day.

Boasting work from more than 200 local artists, the multimedia show features watercolors, oils, ceramics, wood, bronze and hand-blown glass.

Fabienne Blanc, Peggy Chun, Kim Duffet, Russell Lowrey and Kim Manzione are among the artists who will be on hand over the course of the carnival to meet the public and sign autographs.

The Public Collector's Day preview runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Punahou Science Center. Appointments may be made at 988-7747 or 521-7262.

Artist Lynn Cook, a former Punahou parent, said publicity and the larger, more visible location drew hundreds to the art show last year who had no idea it existed. She expects "the best art show in the Pacific" to draw even more this time around.

The gallery will be open for general viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.
