June Y. Anamizu, also known as June Y.K. Anamizu, 74, of Aiea, a retired supervisor for the city Real Property Assessment Division, died last Friday in Kapiolani Hospital at Pali Momi. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Edward and Wayne, brother Kenneth Kato, sister Gladys Kono, and two grandchildren. Private services.

Joseph E. Battista, 80, of Kailua, a retired officer with the U.S. Army, died last Friday in Kailua. He was born in Connecticut. He is survived by wife Miriam, sons Mark and Matthew, sister Mary Geremia, brother David, and two grandchildren. Private services.

Delbert L. Carpenter, 65, of Keaau, Hawaii, a dam attendant for the County of Los Angeles Flood Control, died Monday in Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He was born in Illinois. He is survived by daughters Debra Harper and Susan Pantalion, sons Michael and Patrick, and a grandchild. Services on the mainland.

Cheong Veng Chan, 86, of Honolulu, a retired kitchen worker, died Tuesday at home. He was born in Peru. He is survived by wife Maria; son Steven K.J.; daughters Veronica Goo, Julia Chan, Mary Rose Tin and Gloria Mohideen; brother Emiliano Chenchin, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Hazel Hiles, 86, of Honolulu, a retired pharmacy technician for Straub Hospital, died Jan. 18 in Liliha Health Care Center. She was born in Ohio. She is survived by sons Clifford and Anthony Bible, daughters Laverne Kehr and Sandy Gardella, sisters Mary and Nell, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Private services.

Victoria Lynn Hirose, 45, of Mililani died Saturday in Wahiawa General Hospital. She was born in Whitefish, Mont.
