Romance at the zoo

A trip to the zoo may not be your idea of a romantic date, but the Honolulu Zoological Society wants you to have a change of heart.

The society will present a romantic moonlight tour of the zoo Feb. 12, with "Zoorotica: Love in Paradise."

The two-hour, pre-Valentine's Day event will feature erotic story-telling, romantic music, an opportunity to learn about the mating rituals of zoo inhabitants, a complimentary glass of champagne, and samplings of chocolates, desserts and gourmet coffees.

There will be four tours available, beginning every half hour from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person (adults only) and may be purchased at the Zoological Society office, or charged at 971-7195. For information, call 926-3191.
