Andrew J. Belmodis, 58, of Waipahu, a self-employed contractor, died Dec. 12 in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in Waialua. Robert K. Dennett, 78, a cotton breeder for Seeds of Tomorrow, died Dec. 3 in Napa, Calif. He was born in Honolulu. He was also a World War II veteran and one of the first plant breeders to create hybrid tomatoes for the tomato processing industry. He is survived by daughters Kathy Dennett, Ann Slavin and Susan Strathairn; sons Charles, Scott and Alan; brother George; and 12 grandchildren. Services on the mainland.

Walter H. Ehlers, 87, formerly of Hawaii, a retired professor emeritus in social work from Florida State University, died Saturday in Santa Barbara. He was also a YMCA director on Kauai and director for Palama Settlement. He is survived by children Rhea Maxwell, Joyce Esquith and Carol McMahon, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
