Kenneth L. Alford, 78, of Honolulu, band leader for the Dixie-Cats, will be remembered in a Mass 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Star of the Sea Church. James J. Andrade, 100, of Honolulu, the first island-born licensed chiropractor in Hawaii, died Wednesday in Maunalani Nursing Center. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by children Allan Andrade, Norma Carpenter and Linda Anglemyer, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church on Wilder Avenue. Marcelino "Tino" Andrews, 66, of Ewa Beach, a janitorial foreman at the University of Hawaii, died Nov. 25 at home. He was born in Makawao, Maui. Sharon Bernal Gabayan, 48, of Mililani, an assistant administrator for the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan, died last Saturday in Ewa. She is survived by husband LeRoy; parents Bill and Jo Bernal; son William K. Bernal; daughters Sharolyn L. Gregory and Christina M. and Jessica L. Henry S. Makowski, 79, of Kailua, a retired aircraft assemblyman for Ling-Temco-Vought, died Wednesday. He was born in Suffield, Conn. He was also a World War II veteran. He is survived by wife Marie; son Henry; daughter Judy Vincent; sisters Helen Martin, Nellie Falco, Dollie Scinto and Mamie Dimario; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
