An added feature this year is Nabors performing five new songs, including one from his new double album, "When He Spoke." Nabors also will sing "The Lord's Prayer" in "The Lion King" version, he said.

This year's show, like the previous two, will feature production numbers with plenty of costumes, Nabors said.

It's all part of the strategy between collaborators Hawaii Theatre Center, Honolulu Symphony and Naborly Productions to create a traditional performance each holiday season that "goes on forever," Nabors said.

Nabors, who donates his time to the show, said "I try to memorize one new song a day and sometimes I practice it while doing my daily walk along the beach (at Diamond Head). A few people do stare at me like I'm nuts."
