Christmas parades
get rolling today

Thanksgiving's just a day old, but the Christmas celebrations are already starting: To follow Santa's trail this season -- or to make sure you're not caught in his traffic jams -- here's a list of parades:

Bullet Tonight, 5:30 p.m., Liliha-Palama Business Association: From Liliha/Judd streets, down Liliha, right on King Street, ending at Kohou Street.

Bullet Tonight, 6:30 p.m., Kalihi Business Association: From Kalihi Shopping Center, along King, Mokauea, Dillingham, Waiakamilo, Houghtailing and School streets, ending at Kamehameha Shopping Center.

Bullet Tonight, 7 p.m., Superior Bands: Nine bands marching from Fort DeRussy, along Kalakaua Avenue to Monsarrat Avenue.

Bullet Tomorrow, 10 a.m., Koko Marina Center/Hawaii Kai Lions Club: From Hawaii Kai Drive/Lunalilo Home Road, along Lunalilo to Koko Marina Shopping Center.

Bullet Sunday, Nov. 28, 9 a.m., Car Quest of Hawaii's annual Toys for Tots caravan: From Ala Moana Park, along Ala Moana to Kalakaua and Monsarrat avenues, ending at Waikiki Shell.

Bullet Thursday, Dec. 2, 6 p.m., Kaimuki Business and Professional Association: From St. Louis School, up Waialae Avenue to Koko Head Avenue.

Bullet Friday, Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m., Wahiawa Community Business Association: From Kaala Elementary School, up California Avenue to North Cane Street, ending at Center Street.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m., Mililani Shopping Center: From Town Center, along Lanikuhana Street, Meheula Parkway, Kuahelani and Moenamanu streets, ending at Mililani Shopping Center.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m., Gentry Waipio Community Association: From Gentry Waipio Shopping Center, along Ukee Street, Ka Uka Boulevard and Waipio Uka, returning to the shopping center.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m., Waianae Coast Rotary Club: From Waianae Boat Harbor, along Farrington Highway to Waianae Mall.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 4, 6 p.m., Honolulu City Lights Public Workers' Electric Light Parade: From Beretania and Richards streets, down Bishop Street to King Street, along King to Civic Center.

Bullet Sunday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m., Street Bikers United's 25th annual Toys for Tots motorcade: From Ala Moana Park, along Ala Moana to Kalakaua Avenue to Waikiki Shell.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 11, 4:30 p.m., Kalia Lions: From Washington Middle School, along King Street to Old Stadium Park.

Bullet Sunday, Dec. 12, 2 p.m., Moanalua Valley Community Association: From Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park, along Ala Aolani to Ala Napunani and back.

Bullet Sunday, Dec. 12, 4 p.m., Pearl City Shopping Center: From Momilani Elementary School, along Hookiekie, Hoomoana and Hoolaulea streets, ending at the shopping center.

Bullet Friday, Dec. 17, 5:30 p.m., Pauoa Community Association: From Pauoa Elementary School, along Pauoa Road, Kanealii Avenue, Hiilawae Street, Pauoa Road to Namilimili Street.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 18, 11 a.m., Koolauloa Lions Club motorcade: From Kamehameha Highway/Pupukea Road, along Kamehameha to Swanzy Park in Kaaawa.

Bullet Saturday, Dec. 18, 6 p.m., Makakilo Kapolei Lions: Along Umena, Kikaha, Kumuiki , Kealanani, Nohohale, Kamaaha and Palailai streets, Makakilo Drive, Farrington Highway, Kamaaha Loop.
