Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays is again offering its annual AirPass for unlimited travel between the mainland and Hawaii.

The price is up -- $1,399 for travel next year compared with $1,299 for travel in 1999 and $998 for 1998, the first year for which the passes were available.

But it allows an unlimited number of round trips between Honolulu or Maui and San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Westlake Village, Calif.-based Pleasant Hawaiian, a major provider of Hawaii tour packages for mainlanders, said its AirPass holders make an average of seven to eight round trips a year. At that rate, users of the passes in 2000 will get round trips for an average of $200 or less. The company said the number of new passes offered for sale is limited and it did not disclose how many it plans to sell. Earlier, it said it sold 6,000 for the first year, 1998.

There are advance-booking requirements and the passes cannot be used on any of eight holiday periods in 2000. Sales began today. For more information call 1-800-242-9244.
