Calendars are clicking
on the Internet

Calendars on the Web are becoming the next big thing. Most major Internet sites, such as Yahoo! and Netscape, offer you ways to keep your personal information on the Web, but what if you still need someplace to go?

Here are two recently beefed-up calendars to keep you happy and healthy.

First, the Consumer Health Information Service, run through the Hawaii Medical Library at http://hml.org/CHIS/, offers a healthy calendar with information about when and where to get flu shots, information on exercise classes, and even "Karma Free Cooking."

To keep the smile on your face, the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts serves up a Web site at http://www.state.hi.us/sfca with a detailed calendar.

The information is broken down by island and then by artistic endeavor. The layout, however, is a little spread out, so click down the page if you don't see anything on your screen at first.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
