Fermin Pagaduan Cachero, 84, of Naalehu, died Sept. 10 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, the Philippines, he was a retired Kau Sugar employee. He is survived by sons Bill, Magno, Fermin, Alan, Christopher, Rodrick Pilanca and Dawson Pilanca; daughters Mary Valdez, Gloria Cachero-Wimbish, Imelda Chang, Sheryl Cachero, Terry Schmidt and Dayna Pilanca; sister Dionicia Delos Santos; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Service: 7 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo. Call from 5:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire. No flowers.

Diosita Pablo Juan Gervacio, 56, of Kaneohe, died Sept. 1 at Straub Clinic and Hospital. Born in Laoag City, the Philippines, she was a retired Outrigger Hotels housekeeper. She is survived by her husband Ernesto; sons Robert, Wilfredo, Ronald and John; daughter Jocelyn Godoy; mother Ines Pablo Juan; brothers Binigno Pablo, Buenaventura, Florendo and Crispulo Juan; sisters Florentina Veloso and Denaida Laureta; and six grandchildren. Kay Kimiko Hall, 79, of Honolulu, died Sept. 13 at Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Olaa, she was a retired seamstress. Man Sing "Soon Poong" Lum, 99, of Honolulu, died Sept. 13. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired federal worker from Hickam Air Force Base. Patsy Misao Shimoda, 69, of Honolulu, died Sept. 8 at her home. Born in Waipahu, she was a retired packer for Hawaii Intercontinental Warehouse. She is survived by her sisters, Hatsuko Shimoda and Setsuko Yamao. Private service held with Hosoi Garden Mortuary.

Mary Fernandes Souza, 91, of Honolulu, died Sept. 16 at Kaiser Medical Center. Born in Waimea, Kauai, she was a retired schoolteacher from Kapalama Elementary School. She is survived by her husband Joseph, brother Manual Fernandes, sister Helen Robinson, and step-sister Elizabeth Ackerley. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Church. Exuperto Ballena Tejero, 60, of Honolulu, died Sept. 8 at Tayum, Abra, the Philippines.
