Doc, one of two Komodo dragons at the Honolulu Zoo, checks
out his new digs. Doc and his sister, TW, have been at the zoo
since 1993, but they've been kept behind the scenes for years
while their exhibit was being built. Now, zoo visitors can see
the creatures. Komodo dragons are a ferocious species of monitor
lizard native to the Lesser Sunda Islands in Indonesia. Doc and
TW, who came from the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.,
were the first of their species to be hatched in captivity
outside of Indonesia.
