Juan "Johnny" Acoba, 64, of Eleele, Kauai, a retired senior accountant for Olokele/Gay and Robinson, Inc., died Aug. 28 at Pali Momi Hospital. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by companion Marion Wold; daughters Tammy Kawamura and Brenda Visitacion; brother Joveto; sister Delores Donellan, and four grandchildren. Services: 5 p.m. Thursday at the West Kauai Hongwanji Mission, Waimea Temple, 4675 Menehune Road. Call after 4 p.m. Casual attire.

Eugene F. Anderson Jr., 82, of Honolulu, a retired Navy captain and director of material and stores for GASCO and the Hawaiian Independent Refinery, died Wednesday at Tripler Hospital. He was born in Wesson, Miss. He is survived by wife Finetta and sister Rilla Smith. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, American Heart Association or a charity of choice.

Elizabeth Germershausen, 78, of Norfolk, Va., died in Norfolk Saturday. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Bernard J.; two daughters; a sister; half-brother; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be private.

Irene Haar, 86, of Honolulu, a retired restaurateur, Kamehameha Schools dining hall manager, and ceramic artist, died Wednesday. She was born in Vac, Hungary. She is survived by sons Tom and Andrew; daughter Vera, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services.

Charles Donald Teixeira, 71, of Honolulu, a retired plasterer, died Aug. 14. He is survived by wife Gloria; son Charles Robert; daughters Mary Young and Priscilla Reeves; brothers Herbert, Robert, James, William and Clyde; sisters Pearl Priscilla, Bernice Belaski, Louise Arellano, Geraldine Kinores and Cecilia Carvalho, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mass: 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kaneohe. Call after 5 p.m. Inurnment: 11 a.m. Friday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, at the Hillcrest urn site.
