Celebrating summer,
Okinawan style

Yanagi Nokai Hawaii Chapter yesterday rehearse "Natsu Sugata,"
a dance celebrating summer. They were preparing for the 17th
Okinawan Festival, which started today at Kapiolani Park and
continues tomorrow. The event is sponsored by the Hawaii
United Okinawa Association.

The women of The Panraku Club Of Hawaii rehearse " Kubagasa"
a song and dance about the traditional Okinawan straw hat
worn by workers in the field.
