Bank betting many are
ready for the good life

Despite nearly a decade of news about Hawaii's economic woes, the organizers of the Good Life Expo are betting that isle residents have a whole lot of money piling up, and they just can't figure out how to spend it.

Presenter American Savings Bank and the expo's supporting sponsors have a few ideas.

Beginning this afternoon and running through Sunday, The Good Life Expo at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall will showcase food, wine, fashion, dream vacations, new cars, electronic and computer equipment, health and beauty innovations, and arts and entertainment opportunities.

Hourly prize drawings will feature items from Harley Davidson, the Kahala Mandarin Oriental, Hawaii Theatre, Diamond Head Theatre, Honolulu Academy of Arts, The Contemporary Museum, University of Hawaii Art Gallery, Honolulu Symphony, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Bishop Museum, Mission Houses Museum and Iolani Palace.
