Natatorium

Natatorium restoration
work begins in Waikiki

By Craig T. Kojima, Star-Bulletin
Steve Turner, from U.S. Pacific Construction Inc., makes a hole today
with a jackhammer to install a fence post at the Waikiki Natatorium.
Soon after the fence is put up, workers will begin to partially restore
the World War I memorial. A state Circuit Court judge last week ruled
in favor of Mayor Jeremy Harris' administration and allowed the
restoration to proceed. But the reconstruction of the natatorium's
salt water pool is still in question. Below, the view through a puka.
