Members of the Hakubi Kyoto Kimono Schools based in
Tokyo laid a wreath at the grave of Gov. John Burns today
at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
The ceremony was a prelude to the schools' seminar at the
University of Hawaii. This year marks the program's 30th
anniversary. The four styles of kimono worn by Japanese
court ladies 1,000 years ago will be featured at a program
tomorrow beginning at 2 p.m. at Tokai University. Cost
is $3 for members of the Japan-America Society of Hawaii,
$5 for others. Call 524-4450 for reservations and information.
