Aaron Amaral, 12, plays his ukulele for a group of students from
Japan and former Waianae resident Salevaa Atisanoe, who wrestled
in Japan as Konishiki. Sixth-graders from Waianae were asked to
write an essay, and 35 of them were chosen to go to Japan in
January in a program created by the retired sumo wrestler.
Now eight Japanese students, ages 6 to 12, are in Hawaii.
