Web site shows who
can, can’t practice law

Want to find out if that attorney you plan to hire is really a lawyer and allowed to practice in Hawaii? The state judiciary just came up with a new listing on its Web page at http://www.state.hi.us/jud/ that carries the names of all lawyers admitted to the Hawaii Bar.

There is another list of those who are ineligible to practice law.

They are updated once a week by the Hawaii Bar Association.

Also, another local school has won an international Web site competition. The winner is the Lanikai School's sixth-grade academy at http://www.lanikai.k12.hi.us. The school won first place in CyberFair, a global schoolhouse international competition.

The school had to compete against schools from across the nation, plus the Netherlands, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
