World heavyweight kickboxing champion Dennis Kaheke Alexio will defend his title at 8 p.m. Saturday against Anthony Elmore at the Blaisdell Arena.
Alexio to defend
Elmore, a six-time world karate/kickboxing champion, is 41-2 with 27 knockouts.
Alexio is 68-1 with 63 knockouts and is unbeaten in his last 51 fights over the past 15 years.
The undercard features four Hawaii state kickboxing title bouts starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the Blaisdell box office or by phone at 526-4400.
HPU baseball team sixthThe Hawaii Pacific University baseball team dropped a spot in this week's NCAA Division II West Regional poll.
The Sea Warriors (32-12), idle last week, are ranked sixth. HPU is behind Chico State, Mesa State, UC Riverside, Fort Hays State and Sonoma State.
Paddleboard race setThe inaugural North Shore Swimwear Paddleboard Race will be held May 16 at Haleiwa Beach Park as part of the AT&T Haleiwa Sea Spree.
Check-in for paddleboarders is 9:30 a.m., with the 2.5-mile race to start at 10.The entry fee is $20 before Friday's deadline.

Wallace, Goo at fund-raiserUniversity of Hawaii basketball coaches Riley Wallace and Vince Goo will team up with Rainbow fans for a final time this season in a Coaches vs. Cancer Auction Tuesday at Murphy's Bar & Grill.
The event runs from 5:30-9 p.m.
This year's honorary chairman is broadcaster Jim Leahey, who is recovering from leukemia.
Among the items on the auction tables are dinners, hotel packages at the Maui Prince and Kauai Marriott and a Jerry Rice autographed football.
Tickets are $25 ($10 tax deductible) and includes three beverage coupons, heavy pupus and live Hawaiian music.
