Phillip Kaipo, 70, of Nanakuli, a retired laborer, died April 2 in Nanakuli. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Nolan and Norman Kaipo and Pernell Boneza; brother Clarence; sisters Mina Naehu, Elaine Young, Viola Kauwe and Cecilia Nuuanu, and eight grandchildren. Services: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mililani Memorial Park, mauka chapel. Call: 6 p.m. No flowers. Aloha attire.

Caroline June Kauwe, 70, of Naalehu, Hawaii died April 1 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Honohina, Hawaii. She is survived by sons George, David and Joseph; hanai son Melvin Kuluwaimaka Jr.; daughter Elizabeth Kuluwaimaka Sr.; hanai daughter Charmaine “Dolly” Pua; brothers Samuel, David, Donald and Eugene Pua; sisters Ellen and Mary Mae Kaupu, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. today at David Pua's residence in Pahala. Call: 6 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. tomorrow at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Prayers 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Naalehu County Cemetery.

Theresa Loo Lum, 71, of Honolulu, a retired Internal Revenue Service bookkeeper, died April 7 at home. She was born in China. She is survived by daughters Paulette Franklin and Mari Ann Arveson; son Michael; brothers Shung Fun Loo and Chong Pei Lu; sister Wing Kun Loo, and two grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Call after 9 a.m. Burial: Hawaiian Memorial Park.

Keoounkham Phanphengdy, 48, of Honolulu, a Royal Hawaiian Hotel air-conditioning specialist, died April 10 at Kapiolani Hospital. He was born in Laos. He is survived by wife Somphanh; sons Arthur and Siphathay; daughter Anita; brothers Keoounheuane, Keo Oura, Vanthana and Arounna. Laotian Buddhist service: 1 p.m. tomorrow at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
