The Hawaii women's water polo team was seeded fifth in this week's Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship Tournament at UCLA.

The fifth-ranked Wahine (16-11, 5-4) open Friday's competition against top seed and No. 1-ranked USC in the morning, then face eighth-seeded Long Beach State in the afternoon. On Saturday, Hawaii plays UCLA, seeded fourth, and ninth-seed San Jose State.

The tournament, which determines berths in the NCAA championship, concludes Sunday.
