Bullet Buenaventura “Ben” Barruzo, 92, of Aiea, a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer, died April 1 at Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Lily; son Leroy; daughter Lynette Miyasaki; brother Maruro; sisters Nercy Spears, Marina Hobon and Brigeda Galapats, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bullet Yoshiko Barlow, 67, of Honolulu died March 28 in Honolulu. She was born in Tokyo. She is survived by sons Jon and Scott; brothers Junsaku and Hisao Uchida; sisters Teruko Ogasawara, Haruko Nagata, Kyoko Ito and Tomiko Uchida, and two grandchildren. Bullet George F. Fujimoto, 68, of Ewa Beach died April 2 at his home. He was retired from Chevron as a plant supervisor. He was born in Wailuku, Maui. He is survived by wife Dorothy; sons Ronald and George Jr.; daughters Ann Halansag, Gail Reyes and Pamela Kelly; brother James Fujimoto; sisters Leimomi Sills and Barbara Nahinu, and 11 grandchildren. Bullet Vivian E. Harrison, 79, of Puunene, Maui, a former loan officer for Honolulu Credit Bureau, died March 29 in Portland, Ore. She is survived by husband Joseph; son Joseph Jr.; daughters Jaqueline Halbach, Judith Peace and Desmond Medeiros; sisters Florinda Robins and M. Lekevitz, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Portland.

Bullet Thomas Takeshi Kawate, 72, of Kaneohe, died April 1 at St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Puna, Hawaii. He was an electrician and retired from the Navy Public Work Center. He is survived by wife Sandra; son Dean; daughter Diane Miho; brothers Robert, Seiji and Yoshimi, and a granddaughter. Services: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. No flowers. Casual attire.

Bullet Bert Yoshiwo Morikawa, 90, of Hilo, a retired proprietor for Morikawa Bros. Lawnmower Repair Shop, died April 3 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Kukuihaele, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Umeko; sons Sterling, Richard, Stanley and Dennis Morikawa and Clifford Ogata; sisters-in-law Harriet Kubo and Setsuko Yahata; brother-in-law Edward Isomura, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bullet Alan Shizuo Ogawa, 55, of Aiea, a United Airlines flight attendant, died April 2 in Narita, Japan. He was born in Lihue, Kauai. Bullet Joe Rosare Sr. 67, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a retired groundskeeper with Dyna Electoron PMRF, died April 1. He was born in Koloa, Kauai.
