Expanding his reach
at Aston Hotels

Aston Hotels & Resorts has chosen Loren R. Shim to deal with sales administration, marketing and intercompany communication.

Aston reopened the former Keauhou Beach Hotel on March 1 and also took over the Kahana Reef condominium on Maui the same day.

"I believe in teamwork and total involvement of all departments," Shim said.

He has 25 years in the travel industry, and for the past four years has been Aston's director of sales administration.

Shim began his career in 1974 as a tour director for Hawaiian Adventure in Honolulu. He worked for several travel companies, including Hawaiian Islands Resorts and Wardair Hotels, before joining Aston in 1989.

He is a graduate of Punahou High School and earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
