Councilman Jon Yoshimura reads to some of the children who gathered at Washington Place today for the 2nd annual "Green Eggs and Ham Readalong." The event, sponsored by the Hawaii State Teachers Association, is part of Read Across America Day, held on the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss, who died in 1991. A read-aloud program will be presented from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Kahala Mall's center stage.
