Overseeing Colliers
property management

Rodrigo Valverde has been promoted to vice president at Colliers Monroe Friedlander Management Inc. and will oversee the management of office buildings and retail shopping centers.

One of the company's newest properties is Waterfront Plaza and Restaurant Row, which is owned by New York-based Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association.

"Right now we're in the concept phase," Valverde said. "We have some concepts in mind but we need approvals from New York. It's a matter of pride of ownership to accomplish their goals."

He joined Colliers Monroe in 1992 and helped the company win two "building of the year" awards from the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Valverde worked three years as building service manager for the Hemeter Corp. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Hawaii.
