Expanding cleanup for
Brewer Environmental

Brewer Environmental Industries LLC has promoted Ernest Shih to assume responsibilities for environmental services as the company gets more involved in contracts in Japan and the Pacific Rim.

Brewer has opened an office in Japan after getting several contracts since 1995.

"We did work at an air base outside Tokyo which had a fuel leak and then we had two or three other jobs right after that," Shih said. "We've done over a dozen jobs now."

He has been with Brewer Environmental Industries for seven years and most recently was marketing manager.

Shih was born in Singapore, raised in New York and did environmental research in Arizona before coming to Hawaii in 1984.

He was involved in commercial photography and fashion with his own company, Howzit, before joining Brewer in 1991.
