Bullet Wayne Lee Chevas, 34, of Pearl City, died Jan. 17 at Kaukini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He worked as a rehabilitation technician for Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific and was a former City and County lifeguard. He is survived by wife Stacy; daughter Casey; mother Grace; brother Patrick Kahele, and stepsister Crusita Gonsalves. Call: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church. Wake service at 7 p.m.

Bullet Eva Kekapahuluhiwa Naho'opi'i Gongora, 65, of Honolulu died Tuesday at St. Francis West. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by companion S.K. Chang; daughters Patricia Furtado and Carolyn “Kanani” Kaye; sons Arthur and Ricardo Dias; brother Fred Naho'opi'i; sister Linda Colon, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were Saturday.

Bullet Nicomedes Solis “Gorio” Labrador, 87, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired Parker Ranch worker and a fish peddler, died Thursday at home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Louisa; sons Greg and John; daughters Brigida “Bernie” Ryusaki and Teresita “Titi” “Maile”; hanai sons Alvin Kealoha, Boysie Esquerra and Donald Esmeralda; hanai daughters Gina DeRego, Roxanne Pondela and Genara Esquerra, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Call: 7 p.m. Wednesday at the family home. Casual attire. Cremation Thursday. Scattering of ashes at a later date.

Bullet Koroku Nakama, 97, of Honolulu, a retired vegetable farmer, died Thursday. He was born in Ginoza, Okinawa. He is survived by sons Hiroshi, Richard and Paul; daughters Shizuko, Kikue Kiyabu and Chiyoko Pietruszkiewicz; brother Kosei, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Service: 6 p.m. Thursday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Call after 5 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.

Bullet Richard Eugene Soto, 39, of Waianae, died Jan. 13 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by children Raylynn, Genelee, Dorithea, Kathleen, Mariea and Richard Jr.; parents Marcelino and Susan Soto Sr., and brothers Marcelino and Kenneth. Graveside services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery. Casual attire.

Bullet John “Jack” Edward Whitten, 75, of Honolulu, died Thursday at Tripler Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He was a retired maintenance engineer for Army and Air Force Exchange Services. He is survived by wife Ruth; son John Jr.; daughter Yvonne Abang; mother Wanda Given; sister Juanita “Lani” Kaiwa, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Graveside service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

Bullet Chuan Kun Wu, 80, of Honolulu, died Wednesday at Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Taiwan. He is survived by wife Su-Feng; sons Ching-Yen and Ching-Yung; daughters Chu Whea Chang, Bih-Sheue Liao, Chin-Huei Wu and Kuei-Fang Huang, and 12 grandchildren. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Borthwick Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Call after 9:30 a.m.
