Attorney joins architecture firm

Thomas J. Mitrano will direct the administrative staff, accounting, human resources, informational systems and marketing departments at Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo Architects. He also will assist in budgets and strategic action plans.

"Working for creative design professionals is particularly interesting for me," he said. "Taking a client's concept and translating that into form is fascinating stuff."

Mitrano, an attorney, most recently was vice president and manager of community services at Bank of Hawaii. He also worked with Outrigger Hotels in financial, management and community affairs positions. In California, Mitrano had his own law practice in Carmel and worked for a firm in Los Angeles. He came to Hawaii in 1983.

Mitrano earned a bachelor's degree in Chinese studies from the University of St. Michael's College in Toronto, and a law degree from Harvard University.
