UH season ticketsAbout 1,200 season tickets were sold yesterday at the UH ticket offices in the Stan Sheriff Center. They will remain on sale through Jan. 22 for fans who didn't have season tickets in 1998.
Renewal packages for current season-ticket holders is set for the spring. The cost of sideline tickets for nine games is $140 and $122 for the end zone.
But because there were approximately 20,000 season-ticket holders from last year and there are only about 25,000 sideline seats at Aloha Stadium, it didn't give new fans a lot of options.
According to several people who bought tickets yesterday, the best available seats started around the 10-yard line. UH officials were hoping the hiring of new head coach June Jones would bring people back in. For more information, call 956-BOWS.
