Bishop Museum has chosen Alfred "Kula" Abiva to develop marketing plans for the State Museum of Natural and Cultural History, the Hawaii Maritime Center and the Army B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden. Talking up the Bishop Museum
"We've been chosen by The Boeing Company and Space Station Houston to develop educational programs across the country," Abiva said. "Star Station One will be used by 61 host museum sites around the United States."
The live demonstrations feature realistic space models and building of the International Space Station scheduled for completion in 2004.
Abiva has 15 years in marketing, most recently as sales director for Windjammer Cruises. He also worked for Grayline Hawaii and Hawaiian Airlines Inc. Abiva earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Hawaii.
