Eight-year-old Kamaki Sherman, a third-grader at Waiau Elementary School,
played a garland-decorated "pa kini" bass, otherwise known as a washtub bass,
during a Christmas concert last night. The concert was held at the Waikele
Borders bookstore and featured the Waiau Elementary School Chorus and
its hula troupe, Kula Kaia Puni O Waiau.
