Chad Hariuchi of Waipahu placed eighth to top Hawaii bowlers. Bernard Cabatu of Pearl City was 15th, Thomas Ching of Mililani 16th, Duane Malaluan of Ewa Beach 20th, David Marshall of Honolulu 21st and Jon Kurashige of Pearl City and Lee Limatoc of Honolulu in a tie for 22nd.
FLANAGAN WINS 7K SWIM: John Flanagan was the first to finish in yesterday's Hawaiian Christmas Looong Distance Invitational Rough H2O Swim, completing the seven-kilometer distance in 1 hour, 41 minutes and 12 seconds.
Gail Kaaialii led the way among women swimmers with a 2:00.48 clocking.
LANGAN, KLANG RUN TO VICTORY: Chris Langan topped the Men's Open field and Elinor Klang was the first Woman's Open finisher in the Silvia A. Martz Memorial 5K run yesterday at Kapiolani Park.
Langan was timed in 15 minutes, 21 seconds, beating runner-up Christian Friis by 4 seconds. Klang had a time of 19:06, nine seconds faster than second-place Monique Mata.
