Well see you On the beaches, in the parks, on the trails, in the ocean and in the skies, island residents are Out There. We hike, bike, swim, jog, fly, fish, walk, snorkel, boat, dive, run, sail, skate, climb, shoot, surf and even ski.
where ever
the fun isOn any given day, thousands of us spend time out of doors for the pleasure of recreation, the rush of getting physical. Many of us choose to live in high-cost-of-living Hawaii because of the high we get from this recreational paradise.
That Hawaii is an outdoor playground isn't new. What is new is this feature in the Star-Bulletin.
Out There will run every Tuesday in the Today section. It will focus on things to do, new and nifty gear, outdoor travel and tours, new books and magazines on nature and the outdoors, and national trends in recreation, as well as issues concerning Hawaii's natural recreational resources.
But mainly we'll tell you about the people who are Out There enjoying the challenge and beauty of an active lifestyle.
If you have an idea for a story or if you know someone who would be interesting to our readers, please let us know. If your organization wants to be listed in our calendar, just send us the information.
